Fiction by Edward Hamlin

Edward Hamlin was the winner of the 2015 Iowa Short Fiction Prize for Night in Erg Chebbi and Other Stories, whose title story was selected by two-time National Book Award finalist Jim Shepard as winner of the 2013 Nelligan Prize for Short Fiction. In 2016, Night in Erg Chebbi won the Colorado Book Award.

Edward’s story “Haddad: A Requiem” was the 2020 winner of the prestigious Nelson Algren Award. In 2015 he won the NCW Short Fiction Prize for his story “Indígena” as well as the Top of the Mountain Prize for his unpublished novel “Grace.”
